Terms and Conditions

The program provides Electronic Cash Rewards for purchases at or above a minimum spend as specified by each participating merchant made by the members. The program also provides members with the chance to win prizes. The Electronic Cash Rewards may be redeemed at any Shop Save n Win participating business, service station or online at the Shop Save n Win website to purchase prepaid fuel and gift cards. The Member agrees with and acknowledges the following:

  1. The Member's Fuel Plus Card or another card approved by Shop Save n Win can be linked to the Member's Electronic Cash Rewards accounts.
  2. Electronic Cash Rewards are kept in a trust account and calculated as a percent of the Member's spending. At the discretion of the participating merchant some products may not generate any Electronic Cash Rewards or may have specific Electronic Cash Rewards associated with them.
  3. Electronic Cash Rewards must be cleared before they become available for redemption. The Member's accrued Electronic Cash Rewards must not exceed $1,000 limit at any point in time. If the Member account balance has reached the limit, no more Electronic Cash Rewards shall be accrued by the Member until the balance is reduced through redemptions. The maximum Electronic Cash Reward obtainable for a single purchasing transaction is $1,000.
  4. The Member can initiate the following transactions: "Purchase", "Redemption" (withdrawal of Electronic Cash Rewards to pay for goods or services), "Return" (return of goods and services), "Prize Redemption", "Get Balance", "PIN (Personal Identification Number) Change", "Transaction Report", "Card Activation"
  5. "Purchase", "Card Activation" and "Smart Card Details" transactions are usually performed offline. All other transactions may require an immediate phone connection to the Shop Save n Win network. If incurred, the cost of the phone call may be deducted from the Member's Electronic Cash Rewards account. The Membership card should be presented before making any transaction. The Member can view transaction details and Electronic Cash Rewards account balance on the Shop Save n Win web site, free of charge. If the Member disputes any transaction, Shop Save n Win will require a proof of claim, including receipts and Electronic Cash Reward dockets. Shop Save n Win intends to resolve any dispute within 20 working days from the date of receiving the claim.
  6. Participating merchants enable Prizes that could be won while making a "Purchase" transaction.
  7. The Member must notify Shop Save n Win of any change of personal details affecting the membership records. The notification may be done using Shop Save n Win Membership Application form or via the Shop Save n Win web site.
  8. The Members information shall be for the exclusive use of the Shop Save n Win program including participating merchants.
  9. Members accepting prizes through the Shop Save n Win program are agreeing to the program organisers using the information for promotional purposes.
  10. Shop Save n Win may vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time upon the notification on the Shop Save n Win web site or in the public notice columns of major daily newspapers. Thirty (30) days prior notice will be provided for any material changes to the Terms and Conditions.
  11. Fees and charges mentioned in these Terms and Conditions are inclusive of GST.
  12. The Member must keep PIN, issued at the time of membership card initialisation, secret and secure. If the PIN is compromised or lost, a replacement PIN may be requested. PIN replacement transaction involves a $2 fee. The new PIN will be mailed to the Member's postal address.
  13. To obtain a replacement Shop Save n Win Membership Card or apply for a membership card online the Member must complete an Application form. The card replacement fee is $5.
  14. Online applications incur a fee of $5 to cover handling and postage.
  15. Any accrued benefits given in error will be deducted from the Member's account. Any tax, liability or duty arising from the Member's participation in the program is the responsibility of the Member.
  16. If the Member returns the goods or cancels the services for which Electronic Cash Rewards were allocated, the refund will exclude the amount of Electronic Cash Rewards already used by the Member. If the allocated Electronic Cash Rewards remain in the Member's account, the Electronic Cash Rewards will be reversed and money paid for the goods or services refunded in full.
  17. $1 per month Unused Account Administration Fee will be applied to the Member's Electronic Cash Rewards account if no transactions are made by the Member for a period of six (6) consecutive months.
  18. If the merchant's POS terminal malfunctions, the Member's transactions stored on the terminal during the day of malfunction may be lost. To recover a lost transaction the Member is required to make a transaction recovery request, present membership; provide the original Electronic Cash Rewards docket and a copy of the purchase receipt. The merchant will not be liable whatsoever for any delay in the processing or loss of Member's transaction data resulting from the equipment or data communication malfunction.
  19. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Queensland. The Member submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia.
  20. In addition to the above terms and conditions the member agrees that by participating in promotions run from time to time by the promotor the member is agreeing to abide by the Terms & Conditions of each individual promotion.

Privacy Policy

Our Personal Information Privacy Policy is constructed based on the Information Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988.

Manner and purpose of collection of personal information

Personal Information collected by Shop Save n Win shall be used exclusively for a lawful purpose directly related to, and necessary, for Shop Save n Win program function and activity.

Personal information shall be collected by lawful and fair means.

Solicitation of personal information from individual concerned

Shop Save n Win shall ensure that before the information is collected or as soon as practicable after the information is collected, the individual concerned will be made aware of:

  1. the purpose of information collection;
  2. the fact of information collection when it is authorised or required by or under law;
  3. anybody to which it is the Shop Save n Win's usual practice to disclose to or pass on that information;
  4. the information collected is relevant to Shop Save n Win purpose and is up to date and complete;
  5. the collection of the information does not intrude to an unreasonable extent upon the personal affairs of the individual concerned.

Storage and security of personal information

Shop Save n Win will ensure that:

  1. the personal information records are protected by such security safeguards as it is reasonable in the circumstances to take, against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, modification or disclosure,
  2. everything reasonably within the power of Shop Save n Win is done to prevent unauthorised use or disclosure of information contained in the record.

Information relating to records kept by Shop Save n Win

Shop Save n Win will take such steps as are, in the circumstances, reasonable to enable any person to ascertain:

  1. whether Shop Save n Win has possession of and/or control of any records that contain that person's personal information;
  2. the nature of that information;
  3. the main purposes for which that information is used;
  4. the steps that the person should take if the person wishes to obtain access to the record;

Refusal to provide Information

Shop Save n Win may refuse to provide a person the requested information if Shop Save n Win is required or authorised to refuse to give that information to the person under the applicable provisions of any law of the Commonwealth that provides for access by persons to documents.

Record Keeping

Shop Save n Win shall maintain a record setting out:

  1. the nature of the records of personal information kept by or on behalf of Shop Save n Win;
  2. the purpose for which each type of record is kept;
  3. the classes of individuals about whom records are kept;
  4. the period for which each type of record is kept;
  5. the persons who are entitled to have access to personal information contained in the records and the conditions under which they are entitled to have that access;
  6. the steps that should be taken by persons wishing to obtain access to that information;
  7. make the above record available for inspection by members of the public;
  8. give the Privacy Commissioner, in the month of June in each year, a copy of the record so maintained.

Alteration of records containing personal information

  1. Subject to limitation in a law of the Commonwealth that provides a right to require the correction or amendment of documents, Shop Save n Win shall take reasonable steps to ensure that the record kept by it is complete, unambiguous, relevant and up to date.
  2. if requested by the individual concerned, Shop Save n Win shall take such steps (if any) as are reasonable in the circumstances to attach to the record any statement provided by that individual of the correction, deletion or addition sought.

Checking the accuracy of personal information before use

Shop Save n Win shall not use personal information without taking such steps (if any) as are reasonable in the circumstances, to ensure that, having regard to the purpose for which the information is proposed to be used, the information is accurate, up to date and complete.

Limits on use of personal information

Shop Save n Win shall not use or disclose the information for any purpose other than that directly related to the purpose for which it was collected unless:

  1. the individual concerned has consented to use or disclosure of the information for that other purpose;
  2. Shop Save n Win believes that use or disclosure of the information for that other purpose is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of a person;
  3. use or disclosure of the information is required or authorised by or under law;
  4. use or disclosure is reasonably necessary for enforcement of the criminal law or of a law imposing a pecuniary penalty, or for the protection of the public revenue in which case Shop Save n Win shall include in the record containing that information a note of that use.

Fuel Plus™ Card Registration Promotion.

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
  2. Entry is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand aged 18 years or older who fulfill entry requirements.
